May Spring Greetings!
Hi everyone! I can't wait until this delayed Spring takes hold, so I can finally plant some flowers and get into the grilling season. I hope that the budding leaves find you renewed and excited for warmth.
We have a few exciting announcements that I want to make sure you know about.
Most significantly We're expanding our retail store hours!! I know many of you have been frustrated with our abbreviated week, and understandably so. We are finally ready to take on a 6-day week, so starting June 1, look for Cooqi to be open for your shopping pleasure from Tuesday through Sunday. Hours will be as follows: Tuesday through Saturday 9 am - 6 pm; Sunday 10 am - 4 pm. Simple. Expanded. More. Good.
With the expanded hours, we will be making a few special offerings, including the return of donuts! We have heard your requests, and we're bringing them back. Sunday will be our official donut day. Come on by and get yours, best while they're fresh, fresh, fresh! And, though we strive to avoid such things, we may experience some quantity challenges at first, so, as always, you can call and reserve your order if you know life won't go on if you find them gone when you come.
And, as I've been promising, it's spring (I have faith!), and as noted, grilling season is again upon us, and that means burger and hot dog buns. Mary has been baking up buns in their new and improved (read: less crumbly) form, so come on in and get yours. Like all our products, they freeze well, so you can get some and keep them on hand.
One new development in the bakery case that we're excited about is our new breadsticks. A perfect size bread item for accompanying salads, soups, spreads, or just for a nice non-sweet snack. Available individually, or by the half-dozen. As ever, we'd love to hear your feedback on our new and existing products.
And hey, don't forget, Mother's Day is this week! We offer several ideas for the GF mama in your life. In addition to our awesome regular fare, we will be making individually-decorated carrot cake bars, our yummy lemon bars and fruit streusel bars, and we'll also have some cute sugar cookies with chocolate flower centers. Call to reserve yours today! Nothing says 'I love you Mom' like delicious, nutritious treats from Cooqi .
And finally, a quick update on our wholesale development plans: we've encountered a setback or two (yikes, this stuff takes so much longer than my impatient, instant-gratification-oriented self enjoys), but we persevere, undeterred, in our mission to make outrageously delicious and nutritious gluten-free food available to all. We're now looking at later this year to get our plans into reality, and we promise to let you know all the exciting news as soon as we know what to tell you.
